The museum itself, with the gorgeous grounds, gardens and water features, neo-Classical buildings, and the huge variety of permanent and visiting exhibits, would be well worth an admission fee of $30-50 or more.

   I think the first hour is something like $6 then they charge in 20 minute increments until it gets to $17. You can spend some time finding parking in the building when businesses are open. You can use google maps and type in "parking" and find dozens of other lots. I'd want a building, though (with cameras).

Pretty sure that the street lots are not open all night, but you can try - there are a couple on Hope Street between 2nd and 3rd. All the parking structures, except Pershing Square, in the area charge $30 a day or higher. Typically around $38.

   The parking at Metro rail stations (not all stations have parking facilities, btw) are usually only $3. (There are exceptions to this: the car park adjacent to the Hollywood /Highland station in central Hollywood is much more expensive as it is privately-owned).
