Going to Singapore for 2 nights and want to go to Raffles for a drink can anybody please tell me what's the dress code just to have a drink there, eg can my husband wear jeans or has he got to wear smart trousers. Men are required to wear Long pants in the Lobby Area....they will refuse entry at the door..I'm not sure wheter this applies to the bar before 6pm. There restaurants etc which you can access from the street which do not require long pants.

We are in Singapore for a few day stop over as part of a much larger trip with our two girls 12 and 13 years. We would love to go to high tea at Raffles. We are packing our bags now and trying to keep the weight down.
Examples of Dress code in Raffles restaurants/ bars: Long Bar - Casual: A more relaxed attire is accepted. Sport shirts, slacks and bermudas teamed with appropriate shoes for the gentlemen are welcomed. Ladies can be dressed in their casual best, in casual dresses, skirts and trousers with appropriate footwear. Pool attire is not permitted.
