About 0.3 km west from the Mountain View train station along Evelyn Ave, there is a park & ride lot at Evelyn Station where 7 day free parking spots are available. They're labeled airport parking, but it really makes no difference. You might ask why it's 0.3 km west. It's a dedicated parking lot for the Light Rail.
Before that I used Park N Fly. Most of the time, I park at the airport and use their shuttle parking - Park-Ride - because it's more convenient coming for me. Since you are coming in from the north, Parking Spot 1 would work well. I made reservations there for the first time in a long time for $6.50 a day uncovered parking.
