    I take some slip ons. As for tops, short sleeved shirts work, as do polo tops. We booked a table for dinner at the Singapore Cricket Club a few years ago and the reception really stressed the importance of dress code. I arrived in well pressed trousers, long sleeve shirt, tie, jacket and polished shoes.
