1. Re: Best (and safest) place to park @ IAH? 16 years ago. When we lived in Houston, I always used the Park'N Fly, located just south of the airport on JFK Blvd. I'm not sure how they compare price-wise to some of the other locations, but they are convenient and you can choose covered versus non-covered, for a different price, of course.
2 of the larger private off-site lots are Park 'N Fly and Parking Spot. Both regularly run specials for long-term needs, both are gated, and both offer covered parking for a fee. I've used PNF a lot - up to 2 weeks at a time many times. The airport authority also operates EcoPark (2 sites) - which is likely slightly cheaper - and also offers deals.
3. Re: IAH covered parking. 7 years ago. I use Park 'N Fly, which is right next door to Parking Spot. They have covered/uncovered. Most lots offer discounts on their websites, so it pays to do some research. Ecopark is $7-$8/day and worth a look. All the companies have regular shuttles circulating in/out of all the terminals, all the time.
(Thanks for helping a couple weeks back with Terminal E/D check-in and parking) My family is flying back into IAH Terminal E on a Lufthansa/United International flight LH 7601 from Frankfurt at 5.50 PM on Thursday... As per the IAH site, Immigration , Baggage Claim, Customs , and pickup are all at Terminal E.

The other option is to park it at a private parking place such as parking spot, allright etc. They are down Will Clayton (from Humble to the airport). The shuttle will pick you up as soon as you park the car and drop you at the terminal.
We use the Parking Spot on JFK, they have 2 locations, and are very happy with their staff and service. With children in tow, having them take you right to the terminal door, and help you with the luggage,etc, is helpful.
Thank you guys all very much! I lived in Houston for a while before, and happened to be very familiar with the Terminal C garage. Almost every time I was able to find a parking lot 15 - 20 feet away from the BLUE elevators (easy access from lobby and luggage area of the Terminal C), meaning the moment the elevator door opens I was able to see my car right there - see how 'lazy' I am.
