6. Re: Parking at DTW. 6 years ago. Detroit Airport Parking can be tricky without research: There is terminal parking, the Green lots and four off-site lots. Be sure to check their pages for coupons. Also, certain hotels offer free transportation to and from the airport if you spend the night prior to your flight.
1. Re: Parking at DTW. 5 years ago. Have you considered driving yourself and using one of the offsite parking lots. It's easy peasy. Just drop your car they shuttle you to the airport and on return they drive you right back to your car. With a coupon it's $10/day. Check out Airlines Parking or Quik Park.

I fly out of DTW at 6:30 am on Saturday the 19th. I will return at 8:05pm on Wednesday the 23rd. I have the coupons for Qwik Park, US Park and Airlines Parking. Qwik Park and US Park are offering 1 day free, $9/day. Airlines Parking is $10/day with one day free.
Parking in the McNamara deck is up to $17 or $18 a day now - not a good choice for long term parking. I would recommend an off-site lot. I use Airlines parking, but have also used US Park. You should be able to get a coupon rate of $6-$8 a day off site. Big blue deck (attached to old terminal) is $9/day.
My new parking spot is staying the night before at Wyndham Garden Inn for $89. You get 8 days of parking at Airport parking. I was 10 days last time so Airport parking charged me $9 per day for the 2 extra days and not the full price. Edited: 5 years ago
