If you are flying Delta you can park and enter at the Domestic Terminal, check in and check your bags there. Delta is the only airline that offers this service at ATL - almost all other International departures (exceptions being some short haul fIights to the Caribbean) must enter and check in at the International Terminal.

You will check in at the international terminal. This assumes your first flight is international and you are not connecting through a domestic airport.

The sky train is great and runs every 3-5 minutes automatically and around the clock between the parking deck and the airport drop off area near the west drop off and airport Marta rail station.
Most of the time, I park at the airport and use their shuttle parking - Park-Ride - because it's more convenient coming for me. Since you are coming in from the north, Parking Spot 1 would work well. I made reservations there for the first time in a long time for $6.50 a day uncovered parking. For international, I like Fast Park.
