I do not know what is best but we use our AAA discount and park at Park n Fly. It is close to the airport and they take you right to the terminal for drop off. Have to walk a little on return to catch the shuttle.
For shorter trips it was sometimes cost effective to park at the airport, considering we needed two round-trip MARTA fares plus parking fees. In those cases we almost always parked in the West Economy lot since it was very convenient.
