9 years ago. The attached article indicates that taxi fare from LAX airport to San Pedro cruise port is about US$85 to US$95 one way. However, Princess Cruises quotes it as being 18 miles (35 to 50 minutes), costing US$35 to US$40.
The half hour travel time estimate is probably good (though accidents/delays can happen at an time) but there are other considerations in timing a departure flight. If your cruise is arriving back from an international sailing, you will have to clear customs upon arrival in Los Angeles.
9 years ago. There are two cruise ship terminals in Los Angeles, San Pedro and Long Beach. Please verify which one you are going to before getting in the cab or shutttle. From LAX to the Long Beach terminal is approximately $80 by cab with tip. The ride is somewhere between 25 minutes and an hour, depending on traffic.
