Another approach to parking at Logan -- and the one I prefer to use -- is to park at the Thrifty Car Rental lot on Lee Burbank Highway, just a few miles from the airport. You can get an discount coupon online that reduces the parking rate to $14.36 per day.
My experience with PreFlight Parking at Logan has been good in the past. For some reason I used Thrifty on this last trip - waited 25 minutes for them to pick me up at baggage claim when I returned to Boston this morning. The PreFlight shuttle came by 6 times while I waited for Thrifty! I believe that I will stick with PreFlight next time.
Answer 1 of 3: I used way.com to reserve parking at the Thrifty Airport Parking. It's a nonrefundable system if you come home early. It's not real convenient. To me it's not worth the risk or inconvenience to possible save a few bucks, and I ended up...
The MBTA says maximum 7 day parking. You'll be there 8 nights, which is 9 days. Enforcement may or may not be efficient. My question would be with the new automated way to pay for parking, do they give you the option of staying longer than 7 days. You can look into one of the off-site parking lots with shuttles.
Hopefully after 8:00... The game will probably go to 5:00 and there are an insane number of people in town for the fireworks. I think I'd reserve parking at the Prudential Center using Spot Hero or Best Parking Boston. Lots will all be full all day long for the fireworks (people come starting at 7:00AM).
Also, Boston Central Parking often has coupons for discounted parking. Near TD Garden , we avoid the Garden garage and head over to a lot in Charlestown instead or park at the Museum of Science as long as the event gets out early enough.
