On average I've been going to 6 shows a year here since the 90's. Now that there is a ball field (Yard Goats) there isn't enough parking I. Hartford to accommodate both. Ball games start at 7:00, concerts generally at 8:00. We sat in traffic for hours only to find absolutely NO PARKING and missed the show I had purchased tickets for.
Mar 2020. Perfect mid size venue to attend a concert or sporting event. Facilities are kept clean and the options around the arena for concessions are great, with some of them being unique to the Hartford area. Parking for events is made easy with parking garages surrounding the arena.
I am not an expert on The Hartford Amtrak station but I can tell you that there are several parking lots in the area across the street and within a blocks walk. Go on the XL website and there will be a list of parking places. The further away you park the cheaper it is. I think there is parking (for a fee) on Allyn St. If you're staying at a hotel nearby, they will have parking too. I think the Hilton on Church Street might have parking for non-guests too.
