1. Re: Getty Villa - How to avoid $20 parking. There is no entrance or admission fee at the Getty Villa. The museum itself, with the gorgeous grounds, gardens and water features, neo-Classical buildings, and the huge variety of permanent and visiting exhibits, would be well worth an admission fee of $30-50 or more.
It it's at least 3 or 4 weeks away, consider staying at the LAX Hilton. Lots of advantages to this: a. Decent price. b. Indoor parking. c. Comfy shuttle bus to airport (it's the same one the Hilton Hotel guests use) d. Charge parking to your credit card so all you need to open the gate and enter the lot is the same credit card.
Come early (to get a space close to the front of the line) and enjoy the park -- walk around a little, bring a picnic with you. There's a deli about a mile from the Theatre that we always stop at to pick up food and drink. Ir's called Victor's Liquor & Deli at 1915 N. Bronson, 323-464-0275.

I am hoping to park there tommrow morning ~10 am and take the $.50 dash up to the observatory homely catch the show once they open up at noon. Report inappropriate content.
