   29 helpful votes. Always seek a coupon for parking discounts in NYC! 12 years ago. Save. As a New Yorker I feel it necessary to help visitors avoid paying $60 for two hours of parking. Prices vary by area and I would always park in one place and take public transportation.

   The 15-20 minute train ride into Penn Station in Manhattan (W. 34th St. & 7th Ave -- across the street from Macy's, close to the Empire State Building, 1 subway stop from Times Square) costs just $5.75 round-trip on weekends/non-rush hours on weekdays or 6.50 roundtrip during peak times on weekdays.

   Re: Parking my car for a week in NYC. 13 years ago. Wowzer -- even the "cheap" flights from Saint John are ridiculously expensive, $900 - $1000/person!! But I fear that there's been a misunderstanding re: Bangor airline fares. $342 for a round-trip flight between Bangor and NYC looks to me to be the price for 1 person, not 2.

There is a very large and inexpensive garage in Weehawken right near the ferry to Manhattan - which is a great way to enter the city (although $9 a person). It connects with a free bus to midtown and from there you could subway to your hotel.
