4. Re: Best Indy 500 Parking or dropoff option. Looks like your seats are on the main straight away, on Georgetown rd (great seats!). The Coke lot is right across the street & they've closed off the south end of Georgetown, so while the seats are great, it's a high traffic area.
8. Re: Indy 500 parking. If you are sitting in turn 2 do not exit on crawfodsville and turn left at lynhurst, that will take you North to turn 4. Take 465 to the 10th street exit, when you get to Lynhurst turn left and park in any yard on the left (for easy access out) before you get to 16th st.
9. Re: Indy 500 Parking. 7 years ago. It really depends on where your seats are located. North and East of the track are less safe neighborhoods than West. We live near Speedway High School and that's a great place to park if your seats are in the fourth turn or front straightaway.

If you want to avoid any headaches getting there or leaving after the race, leave around 6 am and 465 to 70W to either 465 again or sam jones expressway to 465 and get off on 10th st. O'Brien Floor Covering (3521 16th St www.obfloors.com) is about a half mile from the main entrance of they track, BUT, is on the south side of the street. They will be charging $10 per car on race day (believe me I know).

Answer 1 of 2: We are heading back to the 500 this year. It has been 3-4 yrs since we have gone. Last time we parked downtown and rode the bus in to the race track.
