Does the NY State Park system offer a discount pass for seniors (similar to the Golden Pass for National Park system in the US)? I've found the Empire Pass for $59; however, as I understand it this is just a yearly pass for any citizen.
The daily vehicle pass is $10. The annual pass for seniors (62+) is $21 versus $35 for all others. If you are going to go more than once, it is worth purchasing the annual pass.

I don't think there is a senior pass for Walden, but for Massachusetts residents seniors can purchase a Senior MassParks pass which costs $10 but is good for life. That will get you into all Massachusetts State Parks, including Walden, and it's a one-time fee.
