You can park economy at the airport. You can park park'n'fly at the airport. You can search for a good deal (coupons, etc) for a valid off-site parking garage. My favorite was The Parking Spot on Camp Creek. My favorite is now FastPark and it's at the IT. They just went up from $8.50 to $10.50 and I think it's still a great deal.
Before that I used Park N Fly. Most of the time, I park at the airport and use their shuttle parking - Park-Ride - because it's more convenient coming for me. Since you are coming in from the north, Parking Spot 1 would work well. I made reservations there for the first time in a long time for $6.50 a day uncovered parking.

We have used Peachy parking off site. They have coupon codes and indoor parking areas for minimal price difference. The shuttle came right up to the car both ways, very convenient.
