I will be staying in downtown SF for about two weeks in July. Would prefer not to do valet parking which most hotels do. Will park anywhere in city. Reviews for most parking garages are bad. I am familiar with some of them and all seem to have problems for long term. Anyone have experiences with this?

Hi, we’re planning to visit Fisherman Wharf ’s area and possibly take the Golden Gate Bridge boat cruise tomorrow. We have approx 4 hours to visit the area. How early should we get there and where is the safest parking garage nearby? We have a car rental with a Florida plate so pretty obvious we’re not local so trying to avoid car break ins. Thank you!
