To the OP budget yourself $25 a day for parking and you can find good garages close to most hotels for that rate. Don't chase less expensive rates in: -garages that require entry off "Lower" streets.
Parking there did cost $12 per day vs. $52 per day at hotel. I obviously sacrificed the convenience of having the car available upon request, but I knew I would not need it for a few days. In conclusion, I recommend that parking lot as a viable parking alternative for anyone staying downtown Chicago.
