The museum itself, with the gorgeous grounds, gardens and water features, neo-Classical buildings, and the huge variety of permanent and visiting exhibits, would be well worth an admission fee of $30-50 or more.

   If you book ahead on website like SpotHereo or Parking Panda etc, you may find discounted parking. Otherwise, expect to pay about $35 for parking for the day. The one day $5 MUNI app pass does NOT include unlimited rides on the cable car. But the $12 day pass does. Report inappropriate content.

But if most of your tourism is in San Francisco, you might look into getting a Muni Pass....the Muni is SF's transportation system and its pass is cheaper than Clipper which is useable on all San Francisco Bay Area systems.
