We have used Peachy parking off site. They have coupon codes and indoor parking areas for minimal price difference. The shuttle came right up to the car both ways, very convenient. By the way, used to live in Columbus, GA!
5. Re: Hartsfield - parking at the new ATL West. Nice state of the art parking deck for Atlanta Airport Parking. With off-site parking, you're directed to a space. The shuttle picks you up directly from your car, then takes you directly to the curb at check-in. For the cost of a tip to the driver, you save a good bit of schlepping. I have not used the airport's own economy lot in a long time.
When I need to park for extended periods on personal trips, I typically use one of the park-and-fly lots along Camp Creek Parkway. Prices range from about $7/day to around $12/day, depending on the location and amenities (some have onsite baggage check-in counters, etc.).
