I had a coupon from the Southwest Airlines magazine and was there for 8 nights so I qualified for the weekly rate (and got the discount on the coupon to boot) for a total of $107.00 w/tax for covered parking.
Before each trip I do a Google search, and always seem to end with the LAX Parking Center one block from the corner of Century and LaCienega. It's $4.99/day if you opt for outdoor parking and reserve online by paying about $13 using a credit card. With taxes it comes to about $6.63/day.
Did some checking on various sites and came to the conclusion that most of the closer long term privately lots along Sepulveda north of Century Blvd. want about $13/day for rooftop parking and up to $17 or so for covered parking. That comes out to $100 for the cheap method. I looked into Park N Fly, The Parking Spot, and Wally Park.

Re: Cheap & safe airport parking at LAX. 15 years ago. The Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo, has free parking for 2 weeks, if you spend a night at their hotel for $149. Lots of people find this a simple way to drive out the night before, sleep and go. They have free shuttles to LAX and are about a mile south.
