Parking in Lunenburg. 4 years ago. I'm just starting to look into accommodations for a mid-June stay, part of a road trip around Nova Scotia and PEI. We'll be driving our own midsize car, from upstate NY. We've toured extensively in New England, and realize those charming historic villages don't always have a lot of spare room for parking lots.
For $5 you can get a one-week parking pass for the Kancamagus Highway and any other similarly regulated scenic areas in NH. According to the following Web site, the pass is available at the at Forest Service stations at both ends of the highway:

Answer 1 of 2: Unfortunately we had already visited most of the properties covered by this pass when I learned about it, but I think it could be a money-saver if you intend to visit several historic sites.
