7 years ago. I live in Indy (recently moved) and we are flying out of the airport for a small vacation soon (5-6 days). I want to park my car at the airport or some other location. I am preferring the economy parking of the airport which is $9 per day.The airport website gives very less information on the parking and shuttles to terminals.
If you can't snag an end spot and hug the edge, try parking way out near where you come in. Entrance is just off High School road north of the airport. Only downside is if the weather is bad, you have to walk up to 50 yards into the airport. 8.

Trying to decide if I should park in the ECONOMY lot at the airport at $9 a day or use something like FastPark at $7.27 a day. The FastPark says it includes all taxes and fees but the Airport doesn't specify that it includes taxes.
If you get there early enough, before 8 a.m. you can ususually find a way to make a U Turn or make a left turn. parking on the south side of 16th st makes for better leaving after the race. Most lots will be charging $20. or more and of course will go up the closer you get to the track.
After the race traffic is one way east. Take 16th east towards downtown Indy. Turn right on Meridian St then watch for signs for 65S/70E. 65 south will take yoi toI74 Cincinnati. Quick way out. If you feel better parking in a lot instead of on street look to pay $25-50
There are no easy answers to this. There really isn't any cheap overnight parking downtown, depending on your definition of "cheap." None of the downtown parking rates are as horrific as, say, Boston or Chicago, but it still will cost $10-20 per day. You might be able to snag something for possibly $8 per day.
1. IMHO it is crazy to (try) to park in a neighborhood. I won't go into all the possible downsides, but will mention that you could end up with a parking ticket, a tow, break-in, or . . . . Any of which could easily end up costing more than the parking; not to mention the time & headache involved (oops, I just mentioned it). 2.
