Offsite IS a few dollars more expensive (coupons or affiliate rates like AAA and AARP often avail), but I prefer it. (One note with parking spot - they will give you a slip showing where your car is parked. Save the slip! Really helps them organize the dropoffs on the way back!)
I'd comparison price them and look for coupons/discounts on their sites. Print out your confirmation with the price and take it with you. Depending on your direction(s) of travel, number in your group, and volume of luggage - parking outside the city limits and taking public transit in is an option that can sometimes be cheaper.
However, it offered an online coupon for just $5 a day and I'm mourning the loss of my cheap parking spot. Does anyone else know of any cheap off-airport parking that is easy to access from I-85? The daily lot at the airport is up to $14!
There is a coupon in the Funjet flyer that came out in Sundays Ft. Worth Star Telegram for $10 a day parking in the terminal itself.(normally $17 a day) The coupon is good until 9-8-08. From here you are just a few steps awaty from the terminal.
I've used Park Plus and The Parking Spot a few times, no complaints. Just go by who has the best rate when you reserve, sometimes they send out offers and coupons in email.
You can check out www.longtermparking.com. They have coupons that you can print out and use at some of these places. Sometimes the Valpack that you get in the mail has some coupons. As the other poster said, it all depends where you are coming in from. It can be cheaper to stay overnight and use the hotel parking lot.
The Parking Spot is an off-airport parking company based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1998 by Martin Nesbitt, the company grew quickly to become a distinctive brand with hundreds of millions of passengers annually. The company's first backer was Penny Pritzker, a member of the prominent Pritzker family that founded and largely owns Hyatt.
Parking Spot... $4.95 if Sat stay. Go online for coupons. I fly out Friday nights and return Sundays 4-8 pm, likely the busiest times and never a wait. Shuttles run constantly and 10 minutes or less from lot to check in. Free water when leaving if you use the cashier
I did not know AAA had a discount at the Parking Spot. I usually print a coupon for Park Air Express, it seems to always be on the website. For my trips is the coupon is better than the AAA discount because I rarely stay over the weekend.
Answer 1 of 15: I just printed off a bunch of coupons from best parking.com for locations near our hotel ( west 54th) but did not see the option for reserving a spot. Is this a must do? We are arriving Sunday late afternoon. I just don't want to be driving...
