7 years ago. I live in Indy (recently moved) and we are flying out of the airport for a small vacation soon (5-6 days). I want to park my car at the airport or some other location. I am preferring the economy parking of the airport which is $9 per day.The airport website gives very less information on the parking and shuttles to terminals.
Re: Indy 500 parking. If you are sitting in turn 2 do not exit on crawfodsville and turn left at lynhurst, that will take you North to turn 4. Take 465 to the 10th street exit, when you get to Lynhurst turn left and park in any yard on the left (for easy access out) before you get to 16th st. That is close to turn 2.
If you can't snag an end spot and hug the edge, try parking way out near where you come in. Entrance is just off High School road north of the airport. Only downside is if the weather is bad, you have to walk up to 50 yards into the airport. 8.
1. IMHO it is crazy to (try) to park in a neighborhood. I won't go into all the possible downsides, but will mention that you could end up with a parking ticket, a tow, break-in, or . . . . Any of which could easily end up costing more than the parking; not to mention the time & headache involved (oops, I just mentioned it). 2.

There is parking along west 11th street in this area. Please note that west 11th Street is one-way west, so one has to travel east on west 10th street to Senate Ave., go north one block and turn back onto 11th Street to reach this street side parking area. If you get there early enough, before 8 a.m. you can ususually find a way to make a U Turn or make a left turn. parking on the south side of 16th st makes for better leaving after the race. Most lots will be charging $20. or more and of course will go up the closer you get to the track.
